Ans . Heidi is six years old.

Ans. Heidi grew up with her aunt Dete in a city.

Ans. When Heidi's aunt had to live the city , Heidi went to live with her grandfather in a little wooden  house.

 Ans. Heidi made a quite nice bed with the sweet smelling hay in the hay loft by herself. She had put an extra heap of hay at one end for a pillow . It looked now as tidy and comfortable a bed as one could wish for .

The Lithosphere

  The outermost solid surface layer of the atmosphere is called Lithosphere. It is also called Crust. The word lithosphere is derived from Greek word "lithos" which means "stones". The surface of the earth is not flat . It is uneven, with different kind of landforms - mountains, hills, valleys and plateaus. The crust is covered by the thin layer of soil . The lithosphere is the realm of the Earth, through which most of the needs of human beings are fulfilled. Land is needed for human settlements . Soil is essential for agriculture. Industries get vital minerals and other raw materials from the lithosphere .
