Time Management

"Make hay while the Sun shine" - is a very famous saying which indicates that we must do all our pending works in time .

It is due to our lazy attitude that we always keep things pending for future time .However, we must remember that Time and tide waits for none. Many of us believe that these are the bookish proverbs which is not related with our day to day life . But in actual reality, time management plays a pivotal role in our life.
It helps us to achieve success quickly.

All successful people are in general very active . They never think twice before accepting the challenges of life . They are not hesitant and hardly think of the negative possibility of being failed. Their top secret to achieve their desirable goal is that they always remain enthusiastic to go forward and welcome the hardship of life.

In a student's life , time management plays a very important role . One who plans one's activity regularly are more successful than those who hardly bother to think of what they can achieve by utilizing the present moment. It provides them the right direction to go forward in life. A student must learn this skill from the school . Our school provides us a routine for our class . By seeing the class routine beforehand only the students are capable of making a plan for how they can prepare themselves for the day . Similarly every day early in the morning if we plan our day's activity by prioritizing what is urgent and what is important for the day , it will be easier for us to do the time management and we will attend our desired destination easily as there will be no possibility on our part to waste the time .

The need for the time management even increases when one joins a profession, this is because the expectations from one increases with one's age . The more higher positions we hold we get more salary and along with that the work that we are supposed to deliver gets complicated. If we do not understand the importance of time we only will be lagging while my competitors will prosper . This hard reality I have understood from a realization that I wish to share.

Since my childhood days I always stood first in the class. I do my studies very sincerely . I generally complete my syllabus in time and go for revising my lessons again and again so that there should not be any gap . This way I always prepare myself for my exams .But last year when the covid pendemic started I was forced to get confined in my home from march 2020. I became little reluctant to prepare myself for my exams . I thought since I am at home so I will have adequate opportunity to study . This way I spent a lot of time approximately three months almost without studies . Mentally also I was a bit upset as many of my close relatives got affected by covid and some of them died too. However when I realised my mistake it was already too late. I was not in a position to improve myself  and even a planning could not help because it was already late . I could not compensate that loss ever because I have come to know that since this year also the pandemic continues , we will not be allowed to appear for the bords exam and our marks will be calculated basis our performance in our internal assessments . Thus my overall performance in the boards exam will be badly affected due to my reluctant attitude .
This incident really taught me a lesson that we must be conscious enough to manage our time efficiently so that we do not have to repent . I realized the truth hidden in the proverb " Make hay while the sun shines"

Reading comprehension 1

Read the following passage carefully and answer the questions that follow: Theodoric had been brought up by his mother, screening him from the hard realities of life. When she died she left  Theodoric alone in a world that was as real as ever. He had been staying at a country vicarage, the inmates of which had been certainly not brutal. On a particular day he set out on a journey by train. The pony carriage that was to take him to the station had never been properly ordered; and when the moment  for his departure drew near, The handy man who should have helped him was no where to be found. In this emergency Theodoric found himself obliged to collaborate with the vicar daughter in the task of harnessing the pony which necessitated groping about in and ill-lighted stable which smelt of mice. As the train gilded out of the station, Theodoric's clothes were giving out  an odour of mice. The only other occupant of the compartment, a lady of about the same age as himself seem...

The Lithosphere

The outermost solid surface layer of the atmosphere is called Lithosphere. It is also called Crust. The word lithosphere is derived from Greek word "lithos" which means "stones". The surface of the earth is not flat . It is uneven, with different kind of landforms - mountains, hills, valleys and plateaus. The crust is covered by the thin layer of soil . The lithosphere is the realm of the Earth, through which most of the needs of human beings are fulfilled. Land is needed for human settlements . Soil is essential for agriculture. Industries get vital minerals and other raw materials from the lithosphere .
