Imagine that you have been granted three wishes .what would you wish for? Describe the changes that would take place in your life after this

It is rightly said that "A man's worth is no better than his ambitions"

A wish is nothing but to feel or express a strong desire or hope for something that cannot or probably will not happen. It is important to have a wish because it is the driving force that can help us  gain confidence to go forward and accept the challenges of life. We always wish that our expectations must be fulfilled. As a result many movies are there on this topic and we often see the most cherished moment of the fulfillment of all our desires in our dreams. I often imagine in my day dream   that I have been granted three wishes! I wonder what wish should I express to my benevolent magician who would approach me in the utopian world to fulfil all my aspirations!

If I get such a unique opportunity to make my three most cherished ambitions come true I would definitely impart my first preference for getting rid of the invisible tiny virus - that has made my life miserable. In fact I strongly believe that many of my friends and acquaintances will have the same ambition as for the last one and a half years we have been confined within the four walls . We can neither meet our friends , nor go anywhere even cant attend our school classes physically. Always there is an unknown fear of getting contaminated.

My Next goal is  to grow up immediately and become  a doctor . I got this inspiration from my parents who are into this noble Profession. I want to devote my life like them to the service of humanity and thereby intend to treat the ill diseases of the patients and assist them come round of the fatal ailments. I would love to see the smile on their faces by imparting an honest endeavor. But my target is to acquire this skill as soon as possible so I will place this as my second wish.

The third and the last aim of mine would be the ability to fly like a free bird in the sky - not in dreams but in reality. When I was small kid, I used to wonder if human acquires the skill to  fly like birds how wonderful it would be! This is one of the limitations of the so called superior most creature of the biosphere that God has not granted to us. I always used to think how fun it would be to fly among the birds in the sky beyond the reach of pollution, Covid- 19,beasts and vindictive enemies! I think I cannot resist myself from  demanding such an apparently impossible  wish  to have the incomparable capability to  fly in the sky which my last fourteen generations could not imagine in their most cherished young age!!!

The Lithosphere

The outermost solid surface layer of the atmosphere is called Lithosphere. It is also called Crust. The word lithosphere is derived from Greek word "lithos" which means "stones". The surface of the earth is not flat . It is uneven, with different kind of landforms - mountains, hills, valleys and plateaus. The crust is covered by the thin layer of soil . The lithosphere is the realm of the Earth, through which most of the needs of human beings are fulfilled. Land is needed for human settlements . Soil is essential for agriculture. Industries get vital minerals and other raw materials from the lithosphere .

Reading comprehension 1

Read the following passage carefully and answer the questions that follow: Theodoric had been brought up by his mother, screening him from the hard realities of life. When she died she left  Theodoric alone in a world that was as real as ever. He had been staying at a country vicarage, the inmates of which had been certainly not brutal. On a particular day he set out on a journey by train. The pony carriage that was to take him to the station had never been properly ordered; and when the moment  for his departure drew near, The handy man who should have helped him was no where to be found. In this emergency Theodoric found himself obliged to collaborate with the vicar daughter in the task of harnessing the pony which necessitated groping about in and ill-lighted stable which smelt of mice. As the train gilded out of the station, Theodoric's clothes were giving out  an odour of mice. The only other occupant of the compartment, a lady of about the same age as himself seem...
