Fear of Public Speaking

 

Public speaking is an art many of us who sound to be very confident otherwise get puzzled and confused while facing unknown people. This confusion is not because of incapability rather the basic cause is an unknown fear of which the person himself or herself does not know the reason what makes him or her  act like a foolish person on stage !On  seeing hundreds of people in front of one a  thought comes to one's  mind "will I be able to address these learned people!" Basically this fear might have some reason, may be  long back in one's early childhood one might have made an attempt to speak in front of a few people and could not do so because that time one was too small and one's vocabulary was not very strong and he or she  was severely criticized or ridiculed publicly after that there exist a fear in one's subconscious mind that always resist one to perform in the same platform anymore. The person does not know this. His or her condition is like an elephant of the circus who is tied with a delicate chain what prevents it in breaking the chain and coming out of the captivity is an unknown fear! maybe the child elephant attempted several times to come out of the chain and could not succeed ! all of us  are the victims of same fear to come out of this devastating hesitation that is preventing us from performing. 

This is detrimental for our personalities to flourish. We listen to many motivational speeches, when somebody else speaks in front of us we get motivated, we feel like we are also capable of speaking like this person but believe me this motivation is like a gas balloon! We can only perform if we can generate self motivation if we start believing in ourselves. Trust me, language is not a barrier- if one has determination if one feels that "I have to prove myself " there is no power in this entire world that can stop one! One needs to be like the Sun- someone beyond criticism. All of us  definitely possess some extra ordinary qualities. Only those, who  have the courage to encash on those extraordinary qualities- flourish in their lives. We also need to do that. All of us have some ideal personalities whom we admire a lot ,we need to behave like them. We must accept the challenges of life and must not think of what others will think, because if one thinks about the others opinions, trust me one can never achieve success. It's your life it's your performance- if you perform you will be capable of of making yourself successful .People will remember you for long time like the person that you admire now. It is your choice whether you want to survive and die carrying forward the name of your father or grandfather or your mother or else you want to establish yourself as a unique personality whom people will admire forever !This is only possible if you make yourself creative enough- if you make yourself such a personality who is dare and devil- not hesitant to accept any challenge .Public speaking is one of them. Many of us believe that "I am a brilliant student, I can solve difficult sums why should I need to develop my speaking skill my public or performance skills .My friend! after getting a good job or after becoming a successful business person how will you sell yourself if not a commodity to the world if you don't know the international language. If you don't know the way to convince a stranger about a particular product or service that you want to offer to them whether we are in the same profession or not all of us are selling ourselves 24 x 7 even while talking to a member in our family also .We need the skills- many of the cases, we try to impose our opinion on others but we fail, because we don't have the convincing skill, we don't have the proper communication skills if you tell someone that if he or she does something that is going to benefit you- trust me he or she will never follow you but if you can convince them about their benefit that will surely respond and this skill you can only acquire if you are open to accept the challenge to face a stranger -to prove yourself- to encash your capabilities and thereby establish your personality different from Tom Dick and Harry. Don't hesitate, my friend! come out of the hidden corner- come out from darkness to light .Do not hesitate to prove yourself in front of the entire world- we do not have wings but our courage can serve like the wings of the bird-we can fly in the sky of the world with our achievement now with the development of internet you need not to go to different parts of the world you can prove your capabilities online but for that also you need to to come out of the hesitation and be firm enough to accept the challenges of life. Trust me if you can do this you will find yourself to be a completely different individual -a different personality altogether and success will surely follow.
