Lahore Session of the congress and its significance

  Lord Irwin announced an Uncertain offer of 'Dominion Status' and a round table conference to discuss a future constitution. The expectation of Congress was not met by this announcement.  At this time the liberals lost their control and Radicals like Jawaharlal Nehru and Subhash Bose became active and they wanted Purna Swaraj. Nehru passed a resolution declaring Purna Swaraj in December 1929.  The congress declared 26 th January 1930 as independence day .
